Ian Prust, Attorney

Ian takes a personalized approach to his work, ensuring that each client’s plan is tailored to their unique circumstances. Whether drafting simple wills and powers of attorney or navigating complex trusts, guardianships, and special needs planning, Ian prioritizes clarity, practicality, and long-term peace of mind. His broad legal experience also allows him to think outside of the box to assist clients with unusual situations.

A graduate magna cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School, Ian combines strong legal knowledge with a problem-solving mindset. Before law school, he pursued graduate studies in Plant Breeding and Plant Genetics at UW-Madison and earned his undergraduate degree in Soil and Crop Science from UW-Platteville. His diverse academic background has shaped his analytical approach to legal challenges, helping him navigate even the most complex estate planning and real estate issues, such as family farm succession.

Beyond his legal practice, Ian is committed to community service. In 2025, he joined the United Way of Washington County Board of Directors. Ian also is a past President of the Schauer Arts and Activities Center Board of Trustees and a former Chairperson of the State Bar of Wisconsin Legal Assistance Committee, demonstrating his dedication to both the arts and expanding access to legal services.

Ian lives in West Bend with his wife, Holly, and their son, Brock. When he’s not advising clients, you can find him cheering on his son at youth hockey games, watching Badger Hockey, mountain biking, or enjoying a great craft beer.

Holly Prust, Paralegal

Holly is a skilled paralegal at Prust Legal, specializing in estate planning and probate. With over a decade of experience, she brings both legal expertise and a compassionate approach to helping clients navigate the complexities of planning for their future. Holly plays a vital role in guiding clients through wills, trusts, probate, real estate, and other legal matters. Her attention to detail and commitment to personalized service help individuals and families create plans that truly reflect their needs and goals.

Holly holds a bachelor’s degree in education from UW-Madison and a post-bachelor’s certificate in Paralegal Studies from Madison Area Technical College. Her background in education gives her a unique ability to break down legal concepts into clear, understandable terms, ensuring that clients feel informed and confident throughout the estate planning process.

An active member of the West Bend community, Holly is passionate about making a meaningful impact both inside and outside the office. Holly is an active member of the Holy Angels Parish in West Bend. She has been assisting with the Faith Formation program at Holy Angels, serving as a small group leader in the confirmation program since 2016. Holly also volunteers with Holy Angels School serving on the Parent Activities Committee.
